Dr. Reyes-Heroles holds a Degree in Economics from the Autonomous Institute of Technology of Mexico, ITAM, and he studied law at the UNAM. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

  • Secretary of Energy and Chairman of the boards of directors of PEMEX and CFE, among other organizations (1995-1997).

  • Mexico’s representative to the Eminent Persons Group of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, APEC (1993-1994).
  • Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs (1989-1990).
